Dear Stingray Parents,

The Winter Haven Stingrays Swimming Team Would like to thank you for
your support during the “Rowdy Cup” 2010 Long course season opener.
We had Twenty-three teams with over 400 swimmers.

The Stingrays are now preparing to host the 2010 Short Course “Get
Rowdy and Race” Swim meet, right here at the Rowdy Gaines Olympic
Pool, September 17th through September 19th.. The meet is open to all
USA Swimming registered swimmers; however it is limited to the first 500
swimmers. This means we will have as many as 500 swimmers and their
families in Winter Haven during that week-end.

In hosting the meet the Stingrays will provide a hospitality area for
the Swimming Officials, Coaches and Volunteers. We will serve Dinner
Friday night then Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and lunch Saturday
and Sunday. For breakfast the team will provide sausage biscuits, eggs,
bacon. For lunch and dinner we will provide pizza, fried chicken and
pulled pork from Swamp Boys Championship BBQ Team. We need each family to provide one case of water and one 2-liter bottle of soda, side dishes; such as veggies, desserts, fruits, Deli Sandwiches, Breakfast Items (if
someone would like to make grits that would be wonderful) and any
specialty dishes you can provide. We will be feeding over 70 people, and
the better we do the more they return and the lower we can keep our
fees. I also need volunteers to take water around to coaches, timers and
Swim Officials.
